New Polling Places and Precinct Mergers

New Polling Places and Precinct Mergers

Changes effective for the first time in Fall 2015:

Precinct 145 has a new polling place.  Precinct 145 now votes at Gilliam Village Hall at 12825 Main Street in Gilliam.

Precincts 042 and 081 have been merged.  There is no longer a Precinct 042; all voters in Precinct 042 are now in Precinct 081.  They still vote at the Southern University Gymnasium at 3050 Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive in Shreveport.

Precincts 137 and 164 have been merged.  There is no longer a Precinct 164; all voters in Precinct 164 are now in Precinct 137.  This results in a polling place change for those voters formerly in Precinct 164.  These voters now vote at Northwood High School at 5939 Old Mooringsport Road in Shreveport.

 

Changes made earlier this year and still in effect.

Precinct 007 had a new polling place.  Precinct 007 votes at the Shreve City Baptist Church at 2810 Knight Street in Shreveport.  This is due to the fact that the Knights of Columbus #3407 Hall will no longer be available as a polling place. 

Precinct 014 had a new polling place.  Precinct 014 votes at the Broadmoor Middle Laboratory School at 441 Atlantic Avenue in Shreveport.  This is due to the fact that the Knights of Columbus #3407 Hall will no longer be available as a polling place.  

Precinct 041 had a new polling place.  Precinct 041 votes at Lakeshore Middle School at 1807 San Jacinto Avenue in Shreveport. This is due to the fact that Bilberry Recreation Park will be closed for renovations.

Precinct 111 had a new polling place .  Precinct 111 votes at Lakeshore Middle School at 1807 San Jacinto Avenue in Shreveport. This is due to the fact that Bilberry Recreation Park will be closed for renovations.

Precincts 130 and 135 were  merged .  There is no longer a Precinct 130; all voters in Precinct 130 are now in Precinct 135.  They still vote at the Lakeview Baptist Church at 4520 Tacoma Boulevard in Shreveport.

Fall 2015 Elections

The next election in Caddo Parish is the general election on Saturday, November 21, 2015.

All registered Caddo Parish voters are eligible to vote for statewide offices of Governor, Lieutenant Governor, and Attorney General.

All registered Caddo Parish voters are eligible to vote for parishwide office of District Attorney (Special Election.) Also, all of Caddo Parish is within the Board of Elementary and Secondary Education (District 4.)

Other candidate elections include State Senator (District 38) and Parish Commission (Districts 3 and 8); however, voters must be registered within one of these districts or towns in Caddo Parish to vote on the candidates. 

The Shreveport-Bossier Convention and Tourist Bureau Hotel Occupancy Tax proposition will be on the November 21, 2015 ballot.  Click here for the proposition text.

Last day to register to vote for the November 21, 2015 election: Wednesday, October 21, 2015

Online registration applications must be received by 11:59 p.m., Wednesday, October 21, 2015.  All applications submitted by mail must be received in the Registrar’s office or postmarked by Wednesday, October 21, 2015.

Early Voting for the November 21, 2015 election:

Saturday, November 7, 2015 through Saturday, November 14, 2015 – Closed Sunday, November 8, 2015 AND Wednesday, November 11, 2015 for the state holiday of Veterans Day.

Open 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. daily at the Registrar of Voters office at 525 Marshall Street, Suite 103 across from the Caddo Parish Courthouse at the corner of Marshall and Milam Streets in downtown Shreveport.
