Fall, 2011 Election Update- Oct. 22nd Primary

This brief video brings an update to Caddo voters on what races will be
on their ballots during the October 22 Gubernatorial primary. It also
has an update on the digital scanning of voter records in Caddo. Voters
will also find a technical description of the work involved in redistricting
for the Registrar’s office. It continues the trend of videos describing the
technical portion of election preparation seen in previous videos on this site.

MORE CANDIDATE WITHDRAWALS

Douglas Day has withdrawn from the Senate, 38th district race but his name will appear on the ballot and any votes cast for him will not count.
 
Joseph Cao has withdrawn from the Louisiana Attorney General’s race but his name will appear on the ballot. Any votes cast for him will not count.
 
These notices were received by the Secretary of State’s office and conveyed to the Caddo Registrar’s office.

CADDO PARISH EARLY VOTING

State and Parish Elections
Early voting for the October 22nd elections for state, parish and special elections will be held at the Caddo Parish Registrar of Voters office, 525 Marshall, Suite 103 in downtown Shreveport across from the Courthouse during the following dates and times:

Sat. October 8th – Sat. October 15th
(Closed Sun. October 9th)
8:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. daily

Voters should bring proof of identification such as a driver’s license, governmental i.d., etc. All voters will be eligible to vote on statewide and parish wide elections. However, all other elections are by districts. For more information call 226-6891

CADDO CANDIDATE WITHDRAWALS

Two candidates for office in Caddo Parish for the October 22nd primary have withdrawn per notices from the Secretary of State’s office. Milton Cameron who was a candidate for the Caddo Parish Commission has withdrawn from the District 4 race. Robert Creamer who was a candidate for Sheriff has withdrawn as well.
