May 2016 Voter Registration Drive at Shreve Memorial Libraries

The Caddo Parish Registrar of Voters office will be conducting a voter registration drive at Shreve Memorial Library branches in Caddo Parish from May 2 through May 13, 2016. This registration drive is part of the efforts of the Registrar’s office for Louisiana Voter Registration Week, which will be held in conjunction with the Secretary of State’s office during Monday, May 9 through Friday, May 13. Notice of Polling Place Change – Precincts 047 and 083

Precincts 047 and 083 now vote at Western Hills Baptist Church on 4153 Pines Road in Shreveport.  This is due to flooding damage and subsequent repair work underway at Ford Park Baptist Church at 5755 Yarbrough Road in Shreveport.  New voter information cards have been sent.

Grace Community Church at 9400 Ellerbe Road serves as a polling place for Precincts 104, 107, 109, 110, and 128.  Construction work in their area has closed one of their driveways.   Please follow the signs to reach accessible driveways.

Early Voting for the Saturday, April 9th election will be held at the Caddo Registrar of Voters office, 525 Marshall Street, Suite 103,  at the corner of Milam and Marshall Streets across from the courthouse in downtown Shreveport during the following dates and times:

Saturday, March 26th – Saturday, April 2nd (Closed Sunday, March 27) –  8:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. each day

This election includes propositions for the Caddo-Bossier Parishes Port Commission,  Caddo Parish School District, and for Fire District 4. The Caddo-Bossier Parishes Port Commission and Caddo Parish School District propositions are parishwide, and all registered voters are eligible to vote on the propositions. Some voters may vote on one proposition from Fire District 4; however, voters must be registered within the district to vote on the proposition.  Click here to see the text for the proposition for Fire District 4.

Voters should bring proof of identification such as a driver’s license, governmental ID, etc.

April 9, 2016 Election

The next election in Caddo Parish is Saturday, April 9, 2016. 

This election is a parishwide election. Early Voting for the Saturday, March 5, 2016 election has ended.

Total In Person Early Voting: 2,510

Total Absentee by Mail ballots returned (as of Saturday, February 27): 2,024

Please visit your polling place on Election Day, March 5th.  Polls open 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.  There is no voting at the Registrar of Voters office on Election Day.
