March 5, 2016 Election

The next election in Caddo Parish is Saturday, March 5, 2016. 

This election is a Presidential Preference Primary election. This is a Closed Party Primary election. Voters must be registered in Caddo Parish as a Democrat or Republican to vote in the Presidential Preference Primary.

Other local elections include Greenwood municipal elections, two propositions for Fire District 8, and a special election for Court of Appeals Judge; however, voters must be registered within one of these districts or towns in Caddo Parish to vote on the candidates or the propositions. Qualifying for Candidates for the March 5, 2016 election: Wednesday, December 2 through Friday, December 4 with the Clerk of Court’s office in the Caddo Parish Courthouse.

Last day to register to vote for the March 5, 2016 election: Wednesday, February 3, 2016.

Online registration applications must be received by 11:59 p.m., Wednesday, February 3, 2016.  All applications submitted by mail must be received in the Registrar’s office or postmarked by Wednesday, February 3, 2016.
