The Voter Participation Center, an independent registration group, has been mailing registration forms to voters.  The forms are NOT from the Caddo Parish Registrar of Voters office nor is the Voter Participation Center associated with the Registrar of Voters office, despite the fact that the mailing address given is the Registrar of Voters office; this only ensures that the Registrar’s office receives the application once it is mailed.  You do NOT have to fill out the form if you are a registered voter.

The Registrar’s office did not provide the mailing list which the Voter Participation Center is using to send their cards.  The list the Center is using appears to be an old list as the Registrar has received complaints from voters that the forms have been mailed to children, who are not of the voting age, and deceased members of their families, who have already been removed from the voter rolls. 

This is typical of the strong drive for voter registration that occurs during Federal elections.
