The last day to register to vote for the October 12th election in Caddo Parish is:

Register online by visiting www.caddovoter.org and clicking on the “Online Voter Registration” button. Online registration applications must be received electronically by 11:59 pm on September 21 in order to be processed for the election.

You will need the audit code on your driver’s license or State ID to register online.

Voter Registration Drive

Voter Registration Drive – May 2019

The Caddo Parish Registrar of Voters office will provide voter registration opportunities at most of the Shreve Memorial Library branches in Caddo Parish for two weeks in May.

The dates include Monday, May 13 through Friday, May 24.  Citizens in Caddo Parish will be able to register to vote or change their address, party, or name by visiting the libraries during these activities.  Applicants will need to bring their IDs and proof of residency in Caddo, such as a driver’s license, state ID card, lease agreement, utility bill, etc.

The activities will begin Monday, May 13 at the Cedar Grove Branch at 8303 Line Avenue in Shreveport from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon, and the Mooretown Branch at 4360 Hollywood Avenue in Shreveport from 12:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.  A schedule is attached to show all the dates, times, and locations that will be served.  This full schedule is available through the website, www.caddovoter.org.

Shall the Parishwide School District of Caddo Parish, Louisiana (the “District”), incur debt and issue bonds not exceeding $88,300,000, to run not exceeding 20 years from date thereof, with interest at a rate not exceeding 8% per annum, for the purpose of acquiring and/or improving lands for building sites and playgrounds; including construction of necessary sidewalks and streets adjacent thereto: purchasing, erecting and/or improving school buildings and other school related facilities within and for the District, and acquiring the necessary equipment and furnishings therefor, including, to the extent feasible, those specific school projects set forth in the “Capital Improvement Plan” approved by the School Board on January 15, 2019, title to which shall be in the public; which bonds will be general obligations of the District and will be payable from ad valorem taxes to be levied and collected in the manner provided by Article VI, Section 33 of the Constitution of the State of Louisiana of 1974 and statutory authority supplemental thereto, with no estimated increase in the millage rate to be levied in the first year of issue above the 5 mills currently being levied to pay General Obligation Bonds of the District?

Shall Caddo Parish Fire District Number Four, State of Louisiana (the “District”), incur debt and issue bonds to the amount of not exceeding $3,500,000, to run not exceeding 20 years from the date thereof, with interest at a rate not exceeding 8% per annum, for the purpose of acquiring, constructing and improving buildings, machinery and equipment, including fire trucks, to be used in giving fire protection to the property in the District, title to which shall be in the public, which bonds will be general obligations of the District and will be payable from ad valorem taxes to be levied and collected in the manner provided by Article VI, Section 33 of the Constitution of the State of Louisiana of 1974, and statutory authority supplemental thereto, with an estimated 4.50 mills to be levied in the first year of issue to pay said Bonds?

This is a parish wide election for School District Proposition (Bond).

Fire District 4 will have two propositions: Bond and Millage. Only registered voters in Fire District 4 can vote on this.

Early Voting for the Saturday, May 4th election will be held at the Caddo Registrar of Voters office, 525 Marshall Street, Suite 103, at the corner of Marshall and Milam Streets across from the courthouse in downtown Shreveport during the following dates and times:
