October 2nd Election Early Voting Dates & Times

CADDO PARISH EARLY VOTING
Parishwide Oct. 2nd Election
Early voting for the October 2nd election for Shreveport Mayor and City Council, Caddo School Board, special elections for Lt. Governor and State Representative, District 5 and other municipal elections in Caddo will be held at the Registrar of Voters office, 525 Marshall, Suite 103 in downtown Shreveport across from the Courthouse during the following dates and times:
 

Sat. September 18th (Closed Sun. Sept. 19th)
Mon. September 20th – Sat. September 25th
8:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
 
This is an open primary election where voters may vote for the candidate of their choice regardless of party. All registered voters are eligible to vote but most elections are by district. Voters should bring proof of identity such as a drivers license, voters i.d. card, governmental i.d., etc and should be prepared to wait up to an hour to vote. Disabled voters are allowed to go to the front of the line per state law.

Shreveport Mayor & City Council – School Board – Special Election

Saturday, August 28, 2010- FEDERAL PARTY PRIMARY
U.S. SENATE and U.S. CONGRESS
 Polls open 6:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
 
All Republicans, Democrats, Libertarians, No Party and
Other party voters are eligible to vote. Green and Reform party
voters did not have two candidates file for the offices so,
they do not have a party primary. For info , please call

Early voting for the party primary U.S. Senate and Congressional elections will be held
at the Caddo Parish Registrar of Voters office, 525 Marshall, Suite 103 in downtown
Shreveport across from the court house during the following dates and times:
 
                         Saturday, Aug. 14th (closed Sun. Aug 15th)
                            Monday, Aug. 16th – Saturday Aug. 21st
                                   8:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. each day
 
Voters should bring proof of identification such as a driver’s license, governmental i.d.voters i.d. card, etc. Voters should also be prepared to stand in line for 30 minutes or more. Handicapped voters will be allowed to go to the front of the line per state law.

The Caddo Parish Registrar of Voters Office Conducting Voter Registration

The Caddo Parish Registrar of Voters office will conduct voter registration from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. at the following locations:

 
Tuesday, June 1st- Atkins branch- 3704 Greenwood Road
Wednesday, June 2nd- Wallette branch- 363 Hearne Avenue
Thursday, June 3rd- Hamilton/ South Caddo branch- 2111 Bert Kouns Loop
Monday, June 7th- Wallette branch- 363 Hearne Avenue
Wednesday, June 9th- West Shreveport branch- 4380 Pines Road
Friday, June 11th- Cedar Grove/ Line Avenue branch- 8303 Line Avenue

Citizens should bring drivers license, military/ governmental i.d. or  photo identification and proof of residency in Caddo. For further information, please call 226-6891. You can also make party, name  or address changes at this location. Mail-in forms for registration and changes will also be available.

Early Voting for the May 1st Election

Early voting for the May 1st election has had 45 in person voters so far in Caddo parish. Voting will continue througnSaturday, April 24th from 8:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. each day at the Caddo Parish Registrar of Voters office, 525 Marshall, Suite 103 in downtown Shreveport across from the Court House. Voters should bring proof of identity such as a drivers license, voters i.d. card or governmental i.d.

All registered voters in Caddo Parish are eligible to vote  on the parish propositions and rural voters in Ward 3 can vote on the special election for Justice of the Peace.

The breakdown on the voters through Tuesday show 17 Democrats, 25 Republicans and 3 other parties. 41 voters are white, 3 voters are black and 1 other race voter has voted. 29 males have voted along  with 16 females.
