Candidate Withdrawals / Disqualifications

The following candidates have withdrawn or been disqualified from the November 4, 2014 election:

Justin Ansley, U.S. Representative, 4th Congressional District – Ansley’s withdrawal was received prior to the printing of the ballots, and his name WILL NOT appear on any ballots.

Eddie L. Howard, Vivian Alderman, Ward 1 – Howard’s withdrawal was received prior to the printing of the ballots and his name WILL NOT appear on any ballots.

Roy DeSoto, School Board District 9 – DeSoto’s withdrawal was received after the printing of the ballots and his name WILL appear on all ballots, but no votes cast for him will be counted.  Barry Rachal is elected School Board member for District 9 due to the withdrawal of DeSoto, his only opposition.

Debi Johnson, Mooringsport Mayor – Johnson’s withdrawal was received after the printing of the ballots and her name WILL appear on all ballots, but no votes cast for her will be counted.  Ann Holt Dearing is elected Mayor of the Town of Mooringsport due to the withdrawal of Johnson, her only opponent.

Raymond Brown, U.S. Senator – Brown’s disqualification was received after the printing of the ballots and his name WILL appear on all ballots, but no votes cast for him will be counted. 

James Alexander, Mooringsport Chief of Police – Alexander’s withdrawal was received after the printing of the ballots and his name WILL appear on all ballots, but no votes cast for him will be counted. Dale G. Nix, Jr. is elected Chief of Police of the Town of Mooringsport due to the withdrawal of Alexander, his only opponent.

Dock Voorhies, Jr., School Board District 10 – Voorhies’s withdrawal was received after the printing of the ballots and his name WILL appear on all ballots, but no votes cast for him will be counted.  Larry Ramsey is elected School Board member for District 10 due to the withdrawal of Voorhies, his only opposition.
