Caddo Voter Staff

Louisiana's most understaffed Registrar of Voters office is in Caddo Parish with only seven full time state employees to handle voter info and early voting for 161,000 voters or 23,000 voters per staff member. Here's a look at the staff and their main assignments:



CHERRY CARPENTER, CERA, Chief Deputy- on staff since 1991. Handles all technical information on Louisiana's most complicated election jurisdiction, coordinator for all major activities of the office, supervises absentee by mail military and overseas, personnel and administrative coordinator, early voting equipment supervisor.




STEVE PRIMOS
, Confidential Assistant- on staff since 2006- Responsible for all voting by mail domestic and within the parish, early voting equipment supervision, aids in office supervision and technical writing.





CLARENCE "TED" VASCOCU
- on staff since 1991- New voter registration application coordinator, handles most early voting check in within the early voting room, early voting equipment operation, Election Code interpretation as it relates to National Voter Registration Act and Help America Vote Act.




Charlie Allums
-  Cancellations, New Registrations, Commercial Lists








GEORGANN VASCOCU
- on staff since 1991- processes all changes to voter records such as name, party and address changes. early voting front counter check in. Coordinates the annual canvass of voters. Advises on technical changes to precinct lines or morphs as they are known.




EVELYN BUCHANAN
- on staff since 2004- New Voter Registration specialist and handles front counter inquiries concerning registration, absentee information and information about general office assistance.
